Meeting the needs of our students!

Nipisihkopahk Education Authority administers education for the Samson Cree Nation in Maskwacis (formerly Hobbema), Alberta, operating 5 schools and 1 Head Start program serving approximately 1000 students.

Samson 137 is an Indian reserve in Alberta, Canada. It is inhabited by the Samson Cree first nation and was established under the provisions of Treaty 6. The reserve is located in Central Alberta, around Maskwacis, approximately 85km south of Edmonton. Total registered Samson population (as of Mar. 2017) is 8553.

NEA schools primarily serve the first nations families surrounding Maskwacis, Alberta. Maskwacis is central to 4 first nations: Ermineskin Cree Nation, Louis Bull Tribe, Montana First Nation, and Samson Cree Nation.
